Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data SlowBull (“we”, “us”) processes when you use slowbullhq.com, why, and the rights you have. We aim to collect as little as possible.
Who is responsible
SlowBull is operated independently. The person responsible for the site acts as the data controller; for any privacy question or to exercise your rights, contact us at hello@slowbullhq.com.
What we collect and why
- Messages you send us. If you email us, we process the address and message you provide, in order to read and reply.
- Technical server logs. Like almost every website, our server records requests - including your IP address, the page requested, timestamp and browser user-agent - to keep the service secure, diagnose faults and prevent abuse.
- Outbound click logs. When you click through to an external source article, we record that click - the story and source, the destination URL, your IP address and the network (reverse-DNS) domain it resolves to, and the time - so we can see which coverage readers follow and detect abuse. This is first-party data kept on our own infrastructure; we do not use it to build advertising profiles about you or share it with third parties.
Third-party requests
Some content on our pages loads directly from other companies, which means your browser contacts them and they receive your IP address and request:
- Fonts & icons - we load web fonts from Google Fonts and source favicons from Google's icon service.
- Story images - thumbnails load from the publishers that host them.
These providers process that data under their own privacy policies. Some (e.g. Google) may process it outside the European Economic Area, under appropriate safeguards.
Legal bases (GDPR Art. 6)
- Legitimate interests - operating, securing and improving the site (server logs, outbound-click measurement, abuse prevention).
- Your request / consent - handling a message you choose to send us.
How long we keep it
Correspondence is retained only as long as needed to handle your enquiry and any follow-up, then deleted. Server logs are kept for a short period for security and diagnostics.
Your rights
Under the GDPR you may request access to, correction or erasure of your data, restriction of or objection to processing, and portability. You can also withdraw consent at any time and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority - in the Czech Republic, the Office for Personal Data Protection (ÚOOÚ). To exercise any right, email hello@slowbullhq.com.
Changes
We may update this policy; material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above.
